1) If you check out google.com and type in "free sheet music," or "sheet music"you'll come up with a list of possible optional websites. You can either copy and paste on a Word Doc. or print out the web page.

2) Well i work at a library and i saw a Taylor Swift book that had all sheet music in it so u probably find one at ur local library and it’ll be free.

3) Try the website 8notes.com. If you click on Piano sheet music, you can then find music according to your level: beginner, easy, intermediate, advanced, etc. Some sheet music require you to become a member, but the majority are for free. You can also ask other people on the forums at this website of what they find helpful.

Tips for taking care your piano:
  • Dust your piano regularly: Dust can dull the hammer action and cause noise. Dust the piano frequently with a soft cloth or feather duster and wipe the finish with a soft cloth.

  • Keep the keyboard clean: The keyboard should be wiped periodically with a soft, dry cloth. Never use cleaners containing alcohol, as the keys will become cracked. If the keyboard is very dirty, wipe it with a cloth dipped in a solution of soap and water and wrung out well. The same cloth should not be used for cleaning the surface of the piano, however. A good habit to cultivate is never to play the piano with dirty hands. That way the keyboard will stay clean for a long time.
  • Do not place objects on top of the piano: A heavy object may cause poor tone or noisy vibrations if placed on the piano. A vase of flowers may look attractive on the piano, but if it should spill and water enter the piano serious damage can result. Water will rust the metal parts of the piano and damage the hammer and action. Avoid costly accidents and never place anything except sheet music or a metronome on the piano.
  • Avoid contact with certain materials, avoid spilling: Avoid the possibility of the piano coming into contact with the following materials:
  • Plastic products.

  • Vinyl products.

  • Anything containing alcohol.

  • Liquids such as cosmetics, insecticides, any kind of aerosol.

  • Paint thinner or petroleum based products

1) Noteflight.com is a great place because you can access your scores from any computer with internet, and it's easy to share scores, but the downside end result of the sheet music doesn't looks nice.

2) Finale and Sibelius are the industry standards amongst composers and musicians. Most people who own Sibelius are quite happy with it, but it is expensive. Finale is cheaper, but really unintuitive. The documentation really sucks. It is really hard googling any problems you have.
You should try out Lilypond. It's free, open source, cross platform, and it prints out some really beautiful looking music. The downside to this is that it is a document mark-up language (no GUI), and many people are turned off by this. However, the documentation is fantastic and in one centralized location. I do own a copy of Finale, and I work so much faster typing stuff out in Lilypond using VIM as a text editor.

3) I use Finale, full version is pretty expensive but super useful. Free version, Notepad, isn't bad either.

4) I use Finale as well. I'd say professional composers tend to be about 50/50 on Finale and Sibelius. Personally I'd say it doesn't matter at all which one you use - just know that once you pick one, that's the one you'll end up with.

5)  Having not used notation software it might be easier to just write it out on manuscript paper. I have a friend that runs http://epistrophyproducts.com

6) I've used Sibelius and Finale, both on Windows machines. I don't know if there are free alternatives, but I know you can download a free trial to at least test it out before you buy. I personally liked Sibelius better, but most people like Finale.

7) My favorite free one is power tabs.
Although, if you don't mind spending a little money ($60), I highly recommend guitar pro 6.
I had guitar pro 5 and I loved it, and I just downloaded the trial earlier today, and it's even better than 5. I think it's definitely worth the money in the long run.

I use Finale. It is awesome. It has nice key combos. The 2010 version is a vast improvement to 2006 (which I was last using). You can get the full version for a lot less than they list. Upgrades will almost always be $99 after it is out for a few months. Finale has a whole bunch of different versions right now.

Neon Trees - Everybody Talks music notes

Where can I print off piano sheet music for the song Everybody Talks by Neon Trees?
I don't want to have to download anything, I just want to be able to simply print it off. Thanks.

1) Best to try and arrange it yourself, you can get creative with how you perform it and it will be easier to learn because you'll end up knowing the song really well. There aren't many places on the internet with pop songs transcribed for cello. If you can read tabs, you could use guitar tabs and transfer it to manuscript, but that's a pretty tedious process. Scribd.com is also a good place to look for sheet music, it's a thriving community and the only catch is that you have to upload something in return for downloading something. It's great if you arrange sheet music and share it for others to use, and then you can download music that others have arranged.

2)If a published transcription exists, sheetmusicplus.com sure would have it.

3) written melodies blogspot - they have tons of popular teen songs.

How To Keep Your Piano In Tune
There are three key ingredients for keeping a piano in tune: location, humidity control and frequent tuning.
  • Location is important.  The ideal situation for a piano is a room with constant temperature and humidity.  Avoid proximity to frequently open doors and windows, to heaters and fireplaces, to the steam from kitchens and bathrooms, and direct exposure to the sun.
  • Humidity control is now a realistic possibility almost regardless of location.  Since it is not always practical to keep a room or a large space heated or dry, it makes sense and "cents" to localize the treatment.  A covered piano equipped with a humidity-control device will hold its tune remarkably well.
  • Frequent tuning assures the player of hearing proper sounds.  The more often a piano is tuned, the smaller are the adjustments that need to be made each time.  The smaller the adjustments, the more stable the tuning will be.  The more stable the tuning, the longer it will last.  Tune at least twice a year, or every significant weather change.  Concert pianos are tuned before every concert, sometimes weekly or daily, just as violins and guitars are tuned before each performance.

Adele - Skyfall Sheet Muisc

Looking for sheet music Skyfall by Adele.
After laying off few years from playing piano, I've started playing again lately. I only have my old sheet music from band, and i want to play more modern music or at least try. I'm looking for Adele's Skyfall sheet music, anyone can help?

1) I use pianofiles.com. It's a "trading" website, but you just have to be nice and request from other users. They usually send you what you want, no questions asked.

2) How about you sit down with your instrument and the track and figure it out by ear...it will really help your playing and ear

3) I recommend getting a free registration at www.noteflight.com. A lot of people submit original sheet music and you can generally find scores for popular music.
